AffordARide Transportation (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to providing a clear and transparent process for all payments and refunds. This Payment & Refund Policy outlines the methods of payment we accept, our cancellation and refund procedures, and how we handle payment disputes. By using our services, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Accepted Payment Methods
- We accept the following payment methods for all services:
- Major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover)
- Debit cards
- Other payment methods supported by our third-party processor, Square.
- Cash & Checks, at our sole discretion, and provided that these payments are received and processed well in advance of your reservation date and time.
All payments are securely processed via Square. AffordARide does not store any sensitive payment details, such as credit card numbers, on our servers.
2. Payment Timing
- At the Time of Booking: Payment is required when booking a service through our website or any other platform. Your payment will be processed immediately.
- For Recurring Services: If you are subscribed to any recurring service (e.g., regular bookings), payments will be automatically charged to your payment method on the scheduled dates. You will be notified in advance of any automatic charges.
3. Refunds and Cancellations
a) Refund Eligibility
Refunds are available under the following circumstances:
- Cancellations Made at Least 72 Hours Before Service: If you cancel a booked service at least 24 hours before the scheduled time, you are eligible for a full refund.
- Cancellations Made Less Than 72 Hours Before Service: If you cancel less than 24 hours before the service, a partial refund may be available at our sole discretion, but a cancellation fee will still apply.
b) Non-Refundable Services
Certain services may be non-refundable if stated at the time of booking, such as special promotions, packages, or services that require deposits.
c) Refund Processing Time
Refunds will be issued back to the original payment method used at the time of booking. Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account.
4. Modifications to Bookings
- Modifying Bookings: If you wish to modify an existing booking (e.g., change the time, date, or service type), you must contact us at least 24 hours before the scheduled service. We will do our best to accommodate your request, but modifications may be subject to availability and additional charges.
- Late Modifications: Modifications requested within 24 hours of the scheduled service may incur additional fees or may not be possible, depending on the circumstances.
5. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
- Contact Us First: If you have a dispute or issue with a payment, we encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with your bank or credit card company. We will do our best to resolve any issues promptly and fairly.
- Chargeback Policy: If you initiate a chargeback without contacting us first, we reserve the right to dispute the chargeback with your bank and provide evidence of the transaction. Filing a fraudulent or unjustified chargeback may result in legal action and termination of future services.
- Fees for Unjustified Chargebacks: Any fees imposed by Square or your bank as a result of an unjustified chargeback will be passed on to you.
6. Taxes and Additional Fees
- Sales Tax: Sales tax, if applicable, will be added to the total amount at checkout based on your location and local tax regulations.
- International Transaction Fees: If you are making a payment from outside the United States, your bank may charge additional international transaction fees. These fees are your responsibility and are not included in our service prices.
7. Changes to This Policy
AffordARide reserves the right to update or modify this Payment & Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with the updated effective date. Your continued use of our services after any changes to this policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
